Description: Description: Boldly embossed Dr McMUNNS ELIXIR OF OPIUM, 4-1/2" h., mold blown by hand, aqua in color, hand tooled lip, smooth base, America ca. 1880. EXCELLENT CONDITION. Opium was a popular, very addictive, and legal narcotic in 19th century America until the FDA was formed and abolished its sale. A great conversation piece.
