Description: FANCY HIP FLASK. 5-1/4" tall, clear glass, American or European, late 19th or early 20th century. One of the fancier examples of a hip flask that we have seen, this one has beautifully cut glass, a slip-on sterling silver base with "W" hallmark, and a sterling cap. Cap is decoratively embossed and locks by turning it. Excellent condition with no damage to glass, but there is some inside stain and some minor bends to silver base.

Description: 9-1/4" H., clear with a distinct amethystine tint (purple tint caused by years of light exposure due to the manganeze content in the glass), pressed glass with original stopper made to imitate cut glass, pour lip, America ca. late 19th early 20th century. Except for a little roughness where the stopper fits in the mouth, this piece is mint. A very scarce attractive piece of glass in a great color. Nice with the original matching stopper.

Description: 10" H., Polished pontil scarred base, acorn finial attached to the cover (2 different pieces of glass), and pedestal/foot attached to the bowl ( also 2 diff. pieces of glass). America (probably Pittsburgh), ca. mid 19th century. All pieces are blown separately and then fused to each other when the glass still molten hot creating the lid and then the bowl/base/pedistal; after this work was done, the piece was cut. Sparkling mint condition. An attractive piece of early tableware, LOTS OF VISIBLE HAND CRAFTING. There is a "ripple" in the glass on the rim of the bowl which is further testament to its age, a true sign of the early limitiations of glass production! Put your computer screen on high resolution to fully enjoy the sparkling beauty of this fine early tableware!
